Update on Road Safety Issues Where You Live

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding road safety issues including speeding, dangerous driving and parking, which people where you live are highlighting as an issue of concern in their survey responses.

On the 08/04/2026, PCSO 30687 and PCSO 30496 have carried out community Speedwatch on Rock Road, Carr Lane and York Hill Road.

A total of 183 drivers passed through the area during the time period and 14 drivers were caught going over the speed limit.

As a result of this, these drivers will receive letters warning them of their behaviour.

The speedwatch will continue to be carried out in the areas that are reported to have high volume of speeding vehicles.
